When you say you don't have time, you're really saying it's not a priority. Lao Tzu saw time as a construct we control. The speaker argues everyone has the same hours; how you spend them reveals what you actually want, not what you claim to want.

Lao Tzu said, time is a created thing. To say I don't have time is to say I don't want to. Think about that for a minute. We often say, I don't have time to do X, Y, Z. But the reality is we do have time. You can make choices about how you spend your time. I know we all have to work. I know we all have to perhaps care for family. I know we all want to see friends or Do that high rocks or whatever it is that we're into these days. But we do have a choice. So saying I don't have time, essentially you're just saying I don't prioritize this, I don't want to do this for myself or for others. And once you get clear on that, it's easier for you to live your priorities. Just be honest and saying, actually, I do not want to do this thing, rather than saying I don't have time.
