All right, in this video we are going to look at the three ways to see if your website is optimized for local search. And these are things that you can do right now. So we're going to look at this website and the three things that we're going to look at. The first one is link tree. And what exactly is a link tree? So Google wants us to have our homepage, our topics and then our supporting content in that sequence. So if you notice what this looks like is you have the URL of your company, improvermodeling.com and then you have the exact service that you offer. So roofing in this example, let's look at this example and I'm going to show you. This is a cpa. They have another thing in here that has nothing to do with anything that's beneficial for search engine optimization. And you see it says services, estate planning, cpa. This is just a filler. There's no reason that you should have services. And what happens is you actually push down where you are in this link tree and Google doesn't recognize it as much. And so this is a low hanging fruit for most companies is how are your links built out? All right, the second one is what is your title tag look like? So what you want to do is go to, you can even go to your homepage or to a service page and you want to hover over like this. So if you see this says roof repair and replacement in Gaithersburg, Maryland and nearby. So the first thing you get is the service that you offer and the second thing you get is the geotag which is the location that you offer. So this is a custom built title tag that you should, it should be built on all of your pages with your service and then your target area. This is really good for local SEO it and I'm going to show you an example of how it's not done. So in this situation, they took estate planning CPA dash the company name. There's nothing that has to do with your location. And also in my opinion, it's not an engaging title tag. So, and what exactly does this do? So in a Google search this is exactly what it looks like. Roof repair and replacement in Gaithersburg. Imagine if you're scrolling through Google and you see roof repair and replacement, Gaithersburg, Maryland. That is a little bit more enticing or could say roof repair and replacement experts in Gaithersburg, Maryland and nearby. That's more enticing because it targets your local SEO. Same with having gaithersburg Maryland. If you're scrolling through Google and you see estate planning, cpa, whoosh Maloney, there's nothing that jumps out that says oh this is what I want. It's just fluff, right? So that's a really quick way that you can, you can check if, if your site is optimized for local SEO and then the third way is going to be your H1, your header ones and this is more of your technical SEO. But if you look right here, let's say this is their H1. Basically telling Google what this page is about. Estate, gift and business succession services. Eh, it's okay. I think that's decent. It doesn't really say exactly what it's about aside from secession services, but it probably should say estate planning in whatever the target location is. So if we look at ours, roof repair replacement serving D.C. maryland and Virginia, this is a perfect H1 because it pulls in the service that you offer and the location. So for you, go to your website and check those three things. How does the URL read? Is it correct? What does the title look like? And then what is the H1? And sometimes they may have it classified that this is the H1 and I hope that their situation it's not because the value we offer has literally nothing to do with this page. So hope that helps.
