Google changed how it ranks reviews in November, making five-star ratings alone useless. Service businesses now need detailed reviews with about 200 characters, technician names, and photos to move the needle on rankings.
So they overhauled Google reviews in November and added that new EAT paradigm to it. So I can't tell you how many businesses I've talked to with automated review systems and they've lost rankings. And it's because all of the reviews like a five star review with no words to it is almost useless. Correct? Right. You need to have photos in the reviews. That's right. As much as you can. It's what we help with. But you should have a way of following up on that manually somehow. Also, you need to have 200 characters in that review. Call out the technician. If your reviews are not written from first person perspective, they're not doing you full justice either.
