A short YouTube video by Phil Risher advising businesses—especially home service providers—to integrate AI and automation into customer communications. Key recommendations: immediate email and text responses when a website form is submitted, and an AI answering service for phone calls so inquiries are handled promptly; failure to do so leads customers to competitors who respond faster.

With the revolution of AI, consumers now expect AI and they expect to be communicated with very quickly. A lot of businesses still don't have automations or AI connected in their business. They might use an AI answering service, but what they don't have is automations built into their business to communicate with customers. The lowest hanging fruit, easiest opportunity for every single home service business is when someone fills out a form on your website. They need to get an email and a text right away asking them questions to move the ball forward. In the age of AI and automation, this is almost expected. And when you don't do this, they just move on to the next company and they fill out three or four web forms and whoever gets back to them first is the one that gains their business. The last piece of this is if you are not answering your phones and you just have them go to a voicemail, you need to have an AI answering service that the phones roll over to. You might say, oh, I'll only get three or four calls. Regardless, people are expecting someone or something to answer the phone and move the ball forward and, and it could be as simple as getting their information and sending an email to them saying, hey, we got your stuff. Whatever it is, you need to build this into your process because communication is key and with AI, there's no reason why you shouldn't have that communication.
