This video, we're going to go through a quick marketing plan for carpet cleaning companies. And this doesn't matter if you're just getting started or if you've been in the business for 70 years. This is the core pillars of a good marketing plan for carpet cleaning companies. And we're also going to share some tidbits for the current market with Google for how to get leads specifically for your carpet cleaning business. So my name is Phil Risher, I'm the owner of Flash Consulting and we partner with local service businesses just like yourself, and we help them grow using technology and digital marketing. Some of the carpet cleaning companies that we work with have been in business for 70, 80 years and we've been able to produce results year over year for them. And this is the framework that we use for our customers. So I'm going to walk through this with you and discuss how you can implement some of these things in your business. So the first thing that we're going to look at is how do you create visibility inside of your business? So inside of the carpet cleaning space specifically, there's a lot of opportunity for local marketing. So if you're just getting started, you know, go to your Facebook groups, into your marketplace and post in there that you do carpet cleaning. Maybe price it by the room or square feet or say if you got a stain, you know, send it over to me. That's a really quick way just to start getting some clients just inside of your Facebook groups. Now if you're a bigger company, we're going to talk about more high level strategies of how you can use Google and search engine optimization to get leads. And for that I'm going to show you our local SEO strategy that has been working for our clients. And you can implement this yourself or you can work with a professional company like ours. So inside of this customer journey, we look at visibility as the first thing. Most people are looking for a marketing plan because they want new customers to come into their funnel. But if we see in this, this is just one part of the equation and we're going to go through visibility, conversions and retargeting and how to make sure that you're doing all three of these parts. So when we talk about visibility, I gave you one strategy, but let's go a little bit deeper into what Google is. So, so when someone Googles carpet cleaning near me, there's a search engine results page. So I'm just going to show you. I'll put this link down below as well. This is a neutral search checker. So it doesn't matter if you're in one city and you're checking the search results for a different city, a lot of times people just search it. But remember, Google pulls in your local area. So if you're in this city specifically and you're searching for this city, it's going to show this city. So what this allows you to do is to search as if you're in another city. So let's do carpet cleaning, and let's just do Dallas, for example. And we're going to look at page one of the Google results. All right, so the number one spot for real estate on Google are these, which is called Google local service ads. And these are free to sign up for. All you need to do is get Google screened. I'll put a link down below to this as well. But this is your ads, and this is your Google local service ad. So what you can do is put in your zip code, you can put in the number of leads that you want, and you can select carpet cleaning. And what this is going to tell you is that if you want one lead for carpet cleaning in the zip code, then you're going to spend 22 to 33 dollars for that lead. And how does, how do you get this lead? When someone searches for carpet cleaning inside of your zip code, which this is all Dallas, if they click this button right here to call you, it's going to record and charge you $22 to $33. So if you want leads, you could take $300 and you could set this up and you could get 10 leads for carpet cleaning jobs. And let's say those carpet cleaning jobs are $300, right? That's 10x what you've spent. You spend $30 on a lead and then you land it for $300. That is a good marketing ROI. And that's one thing that you could set up. Highly recommend it. Again, it's free to do. But what you must have to get this set up is a Google Business profile. So you see right here, these people have Google Business profile set up with getting reviews. And if we scroll down here, this is called your local service pack. And the way you set this up is you just go to google.com and type in my business or google.com business and you can set it up. We have videos about that, but it's called a Google Business Profile. Free to set up again. And basically what you do is you set this up for your business and then you start getting Google reviews. If you see here, this is Straight from Google 17% of your ranking is how many reviews you have. So if you go here and look at your current local market and then you scroll down, you see who you're competing against. This company only has 15 reviews. I'm sure you know 15 people that will leave you reviews. If you've cleaned your mom's carpet, you know, or something, that is how you can get a leg up in this area. And again, this is organic. So Google is recommending these three companies when if you see there's 223 million results. But we know that what it takes to get ranked on the Google Local package, there's all these things. The first one is having your Google business profile optimized. There's other videos on how to do that. But the most important thing you can do is to get your reviews because reviews are 17% of your ranking. So when we look at this, how do you create visibility? I just gave you two strategies on how to get some visibility in your business. The next thing we're looking at is how do you actually convert leads. So people either find you on Google and they go to your website, or they click on this and they call you. And so this is really important is to have some type of a simple website. So when we look at our website here, what you want to have is a very, very simple call to action. So that could be a contact us, a get an estimate button, even like a chat widget or something. But I think just to get started, you got to have a call to action. Ours is to set up a call now, but maybe you have one that says get an estimate. And when they click on get an estimate, what it could go to is, is a simple form that has your information on here. And maybe it says number of rooms, type of house, do you have stains? And basically you're gathering all the information to give them an estimate. So when you look at converting leads, this is really important because a lot of times what we find with companies that they get all the visibility, right? They okay, I pen $300 and I get 10 leads. But then what happens is they're out cleaning carpets and no one is answering these leads, actually converting them into business for them. So they're just wasting money. And so what you want to do is make sure that you have a strategy to actually convert the leads that you're going to be paying for or that you're going to be getting. And the way that you do that is that you have either forms on your website, chat widgets, or when they call you, even if you can't answer, there's a way to secure that phone number and then call them back or text them back or something like that. We obviously build strategies with our clients to make sure that all the leads are accounted for and they're being worked. But. But if you're just trying to implement a strategy, you want to make sure that you're able to convert these leads and make sure that you're able to track these leads. And that's one way to do it. Create a form on your website, drive traffic to your website, and have people fill out the form. All right. And the last thing, and this is probably the most important part of the whole equation for carpet cleaning companies that most people miss, is having a retargeting strategy. Especially. Especially when it comes to carpet cleaning. You know that people want their carpets cleaned at least every six months, a year, maybe two years. So what you need to do is to have all these people in a simple database, whether that's an Excel spreadsheet or whether that's a CRM tool. There's a bunch out there. Housecall Pro, Jobber Service Monster Service, Titan, HubSpot, even. You could keep track of people, but you want everyone to go into some type of a database that you can keep track of. And then when it comes out the other side, you want a retargeting strategy. So obviously you want to ask for a review on every single customer. And why is that important? We Obviously just discussed 17% of your ranking is reviews. So every customer that comes through your door, if you do a good job, they should be leaving you a review. There's a bunch of strategies that we've made on this before, but just simply ask them. The next thing is you want to be sending out some type of monthly newsletter. So here's a perfect example. Let's say you do carpet cleaning, but you also do, you know, stain removal. Maybe you do carpet repairs, like stretching, that kind of stuff. Maybe even do rug fabrication or rug cleaning. But people only use you for one service. They don't know that you do all these other services. So that's a really good way to highlight other services, other reviews. And maybe you're just sharing tips like, hey, here's a great way to get sand out of your carpet if it's in the summertime. Or here's a great way, when you track in salt from the snow to get rid of the salt from your carpet, you're sharing information and adding value. So that way when they need you, then they come back and they work with you. Social media, obviously, posting on social media and then some type of text message marketing. There's made videos about this before. But you know, sending out a text every six months, just checking in, seeing how everything's going, that's really good. Sending out a text and offering something like 25, $30 discount, that's a really good way to stay in front of people. And even better than email marketing because 98% of text messages get open because it's right on your phone. Alright? And then as you see in this funnel, you're bringing people right back into the funnel, into your conversions. So those are the three pillars. You want to create visibility for your business. You want to make sure that you can convert those leads so that they're not just calling you and no one's answering or they're filling out a form and no one's following up with them because then you're just wasting money. And then you want to make sure that you're retargeting people because it's much easier to have people in your database come back into your funnel if they know like and trust you already. Opposed to new people trying to find you. So this is what we do for the companies that we work with. We literally implement all of these strategies for from a visibility perspective and we're doing this for them and then we're building all of these conversion funnels for them and then we're providing a return on investment every single month and then we're building all these channels for retargeting for them. So if that's something that you're interested in your business, we would love to speak with you and see if it might be a good fit. And my name is Phil. Be sure to hit like and subscribe.
