If you're not sure how to convert your website visitors into leads for a local service business, in this video, I'm going to go through all the call to actions and how you can track that number specifically. My name is Phil Richer. I'm the owner of Flash Consulting. We work with local service businesses. This is literally our website, actually. And we help them increase sales and keep their technician schedules full. And one of the big ways that we do this is we help get traffic onto the website and then we help convert that traffic into actual leads. And our goal is to get the website traffic to conversions to 10%. So you get 100 people to your website, you should get 10 leads. We have some clients that are getting 20, 30% conversion rates. And it just all depends on the industry. But what we found is that regardless of industry, the goal should be 10% conversion rates. And so we're gonna go through different ways that you can do that, and I'm gonna show you ours, and then I'm also gonna show you a couple other examples of things that you can do with actual websites that we work with. So I'm just going to go through a couple of these call to actions here. So when you land on a webpage, before the first scroll, you want to have three main call to actions. The first one is you want to have your main call to action, which could be to discuss your business. For us, it could be get an estimate calculation. It could be request service. It could be whatever other thing that you are going to do, maybe schedule a meeting. And so if you're like doing carpet cleaning, duct cleaning, any type of cleaning services, most of the times they want to know how much is it going to cost and when can you do it. And so maybe your call to action would be get an estimate or something like that. If you're a law firm, for example, people are going to say, I want to schedule a consultation. So they might click on that for us. We want to set up an initial meeting and then see if it makes sense to potentially work together. So that's why we have discuss your business. So whatever your main call to action, action is, you want that to be highlighted up here and you want it to be consistent throughout. So you should say, discuss your business. Discuss your business. You should use the same words, request an estimate. Request an estimate. Request an estimate. It makes it very easy for people to understand. All right, so that's the first one. The second one that you should have is maybe they're not full on ready to get an estimate. Maybe they Just want to know, do you do this type of service? So carpet cleaning, you know, do you, do you do this type of carpet cleaning or do you also do carpet stretching? Because I'm getting my carpets cleaned and maybe I don't need an estimate, but I just want to. If you do the service, having a chat widget like this helps with that significantly. Because what that allows you to do is to type in a message here and communicate back and forth with the customer to answer their question before they actually schedule the service or request a full estimate. What we found is that just adding this chat widget here, it increases your conversion percentage anywhere from 2 to 4%. And so it doesn't actually take away from whatever your main call to action is. It actually helps with, with your conversion process because people again are not ready to full on schedule. They just have a quick question. So the first one is your main call to action. Whatever you decide that one is we would recommend like a request, an estimate or schedule service, something like that, having a chat widget for questions. And then the last one, which a lot of people miss, is having your phone number up here, especially on mobile, you want to have your site so that people can call you right up top. And why is this important? A lot of times people are reading reviews online all over, whether it's Yelp or Google or Consumer Checkbook or Facebook, whatever, and they go to your website and they want to just see like, is this website even legit? And if it is legit, I want to call them or I want to do something on their website. What we found is that about 70 to 80% of people are making decisions off of the website. Going to the website and just doing a once over to make sure like, okay, this company looks legit. Let me take that next action. So those are the three. Having your phone number visible and clickable to call you. Having a main call to action, request an estimate, schedule service, a chat widget. I'm going to show you on a real live website of a company that we work with, but I want to give you one other bonus one. And this bonus one is from a book called storybrand. It's a really good marketing book. And basically what they say is maybe your customer is not ready yet to discuss their business. Maybe they're not ready yet to ask a question because they don't really know. They're literally in their learning phase. And so you might create something that says five things to do before you hire a carpet cleaning company or three things to look for when you hire an air duct cleaning company. And you create something that they can download in exchange for their information. And it gives them valuable information, but it also gives you their contact information. So, for example, over here we have this marketing plan. And if you see it's the five things your marketing plan should include. Email address, phone number, get the marketing plan, and then they get their marketing plan. So this is a free giveaway. That is in exchange for the contact information. And so we have all different types of people coming in, right? These leads, obviously they're ready to discuss their business, are ready to go. They're hot, warm leads. We could close these at a higher percentage. These leads might just be in the information gathering stage. And these ones are just casually browsing super top of the funnel. Maybe eventually they'll be ready to discuss their business. But right now it's like, oh, that's interesting. I'm curious about that. And so that's kind of the funnel that you want to go through is give someone that's ready to roll the opportunity to get going. Give someone the opportunity, kind of ask some questions, and then give some on the top of the funnel. All right, so let's look at a duck cleaning company. So if you notice, basically what I just said, it all looks the same. So you have your call button here, you have your request an estimate request an appointment, and then you have a chat widget. They don't have any free giveaway. And their free giveaway is if you go to request an estimate. You can fill out this estimate calculator here. And it's gonna actually, they don't have it turned on, but you could actually give them a price. But what we found, just by adding this one button right here, it increased their conversion percent percentage by like 6, 7, 8%. Having your chat widget here. And let me also show you on their mobile. So when you go here, you can see like, typically like 50, 60% of people are on mobile. So you want to make sure you have all your stuff, request an estimate request appointment. It's all pretty consistent call to actions throughout. So if you're looking to convert more website visitors into leads, then you want to make sure that you have all the proper call to actions. Maybe it makes sense to have an estimate request. Maybe it makes sense to have an estimate calculator on your website that does some math. Or you can just have it like we just showed you. You can also have a chat widget, which works really well.
