Phil Risher says AI chatbots like ChatGPT are replacing Google search. Instead of typing "HVAC repair near me" and clicking links, people ask AI agents that research, answer follow-ups, and book services directly. Content creators need to write for these conversations, not just rank for keywords.

Yeah, but let, let me stop you right there. You're not just trying to rank anymore. You're trying to get recommended. There's a shift from keywords to conversations, and this is a big shift from AI search. Before, people would go to Google, type in 4 words, HVAC repair near me. They get a list of blue links and then they go and do their research and try to figure it out. That's not happening anymore. Right now you can go to Google AI mode, ChatGPT, and their agent is gonna do all the research for you and come back and give you information, and then you can prompt it again with questions. And have a conversation with it, and you're going to get to the result that's best for you. Sometimes you're not even going to have to go to the website. You can just call the button or book through the agent. This is the big shift that's coming. It's not about ranking anymore. It's about being recommended.
