This is a YouTube video titled "google local service ads are drying up. #shorts" created in July 2025. The content features a single speaker discussing the decline in leads from Google local service ads for an HVAC contractor and the shift towards more competitive Google search ads, emphasizing the need for careful management of ad spend and return on investment.
We have an eight figure h VAC contractor that we work with and last year they were making 50, 60 thousand dollars from Google local service ads. Literally hundreds of leads from an entire month. This year, nothing has changed aside from it getting more competitive on Google local service ads and Google showing a bunch more people and not really caring as much about who's a dominating force in the market. So this year number of leads that they're getting is literally cut down to about 10% of the leads that they were getting. So what they've done is shifted over to Google search ads which is much more competitive. And you have to have this process dialed in from a keyword cost per click perspective all the way to return on ad spend data. That way you're not just thr throwing money into a black hole that's not going to generate any leads. Google local service ads are great because it's pay per lead. It's very easy. You just put a bunch of money in and hopefully you get leads out. Google search ads takes a lot more fine tuning to make sure that it's actually producing real results for your business.
