Phil Risher breaks down four leaks in a business funnel: low website conversion, delayed lead follow-up, weak estimate nurturing, and missed post-job revenue. Automations like estimate calculators, instant texts to leads, nurture sequences, and post-job check-ins plug these gaps so you can scale what actually works.

The reason that we do automations is because we want to make sure that all the holes in the bucket are plugged. There's 4 main leaks in the bucket. Website conversion rate. Usually most people don't track that because it's enfranchised. Someone else does it, but you need an estimate calculator on a website, a popup with promos, a chat widget, like all these things to convert. Then there's 3 other leaks. When a lead comes in, you have to actually convert it into a job and you have to have automation sequences that run. When someone fills out a form, you need to text them an email right away to ask them for a picture. Then in the estimate process, when you send them an estimate, you need the estimate nurture sequence to nurture the estimate, not just relying on your sales guy who's going to be busy and just gives one person a call. And then the last one is after the job is done, you have to have a cross-sell opportunity, a 6-month check-in, cross-sell emails every single month. And then we get to the marketing piece, which is now that we know all the data, let's just dial up and down what works. And we know we have a bucket that's fixed.
