Phil Risher recommends adding an estimate calculator to local service websites. Ask visitors 4-6 questions via a form like JotForm or Typeform, then generate an instant estimate or capture their contact info. Visitors get pricing upfront and self-qualify before talking to sales.

One of the best ways that we found to convert website visitors into leads is by setting up estimate calculators. And what estimate calculators are is when a customer puts in specific information that we ask for. Typically about four to six questions is the cutoff point. And it allows us to either contact them and give them an estimate or to just build an estimate on the back end and send it over to them right away. What this allows them to do is to get an estimate. It allows them to qualify themselves in or out of our sales process. But more importantly, it allows us to get that lead in the door to have someone contact them. So how does this work on a website? You could create a form and this form can have four to six questions. You could use something like a jotform or type form. And those six questions allow you to figure out what the price is going to be for this service or at least give you a starting point to contact this person. And it's a home run for any local service business to have an estimate calculator, because that's what people want after they come to your website. They want to know what the price is.
