Jobber is awarding $10,000 grants to 15 home-service businesses. Phil Risher breaks down how to spend it: $1,000 on a networking group, $3,000-4,000 on a local SEO website, and $5,000 on B2B referral partnerships paying $50 per lead. He projects this generates 50 new customers and $50,000 in revenue per month.

There's a grant out there for $10,000 for home service businesses and they're giving it away to 15 people. This is specifically a Jobber grant. Here's how I would take that $10,000 and turn it into a $600,000 business. First, I would pay about a thousand dollars to join a local networking group like BNI. Second, I would pay like 3 or $4,000 to build a professional website that's optimized to convert leads that looks really great and also optimized for local SEO. Then instead of taking the additional $5,000 and praying to the Google gods that they send me leads, I would take that same $5,000 and go and build B2B partnerships through my networking group and other complimen people that if you send me a lead, I'll give you 50 bucks. If I close at 50%, that means that I'm going to be spending a hundred dollars for a new customer. I have $5,000 on a new customer. That gives me 50 new customers coming in the door. If my average ticket is $1,000, that's $50,000 that I just generated in one month. Now I can run that playbook over and over again. On top of this, all the customers that come through my funnel that work with me, they're going to leave me a five star review because they're going to get excellent service. And now I'm going to start to get local SEO running because Google's going to say I have a lot of reviews, people are going to start contacting me organically and I'm not going to have to pay for leads. If you want to apply for this grant, it's free from Jobber. I'll down in the comments.
