Short YouTube video (Phil Risher) advising home-service businesses that growth is often limited by lead-management, not lead volume. The speaker recounts auditing a $3M home-service business, finding leads treated as one-shot interactions, and fixing this by coaching four CSRs on call scripts and adding value-focused follow-ups (emailing pricing guides, requesting photos via text) to improve conversions.

Most home service businesses do not have a lead problem. Here's the real issue. The first month I was at my home service business doing $3 million, and they were stuck there for two years. And I audited the entire workflow, and what I found was that we were getting one shot at every single lead. People would call in and ask, how much does it cost to get my air ducts cleaned? And then we give them a price. And they'd say, cool, I'll call back and let you know. And I'm like, that's not a lead process. There's no call script there. There's no like, well, let me get your email address and I'll send you back our pricing guide. It was gone forever. So what I started to do, we had four CSRs. I started to coach them on a call script, and I started to build in value inside of the lead flow process. So even if someone said, yeah, I'll give you a call back, we would say, cool, well, let me shoot you an email with our pricing guide. Or someone say, you know, I'm not really sure if this is the issue or not. We'd say, well, send us a text message over with a picture and we'll take a look. This allowed us to go past just a one shot at the lead and, and to actually have a lead management problem. And this is the thing, most people don't have a lead problem. They have a lead management problem.
