A short YouTube clip by Phil Risher advising local service businesses to run monthly email campaigns. He explains expected open rates (~15–20%), uses a 1,000-contact example to show conversion potential (200 opens at 20%), and recommends two tactics for engaged contacts: (1) send offers/discount codes and (2) cross-sell additional services. Ends with a CTA to like and subscribe.

One low hanging fruit that we see with a lot of local service businesses is doing email campaigns on a monthly basis. The numbers behind this are actually really, really good. So let's say you have a thousand people in your database that have come through as prospects or customers that have worked with you in the past. It might even be lower than that, but whatever the number is, typically when you send out an email, you're going to get 15 to 20% open rates. And maybe not everyone's going to open the same email every single month, but 15 to 20%, let's say you have a thousand people and 20% open and that's 200 opens. Of those 200 people, they already know like and trust you. They already know what you're about. And inside of that you can do two things that work really well. The first thing is you can give them an offer. So you can say hey, here's 20% off or $20 off or whatever and it's good for you or anyone that you know, just use this code. The other thing is that you can cross sell other services. So maybe they know that you do this service, but they didn't know that you do this service and you can highlight that and maybe give them an offer. Especially if they know like and trust you. It's a really great way. If you like content about growing local service businesses, hit like and subscribe. We'll see you in the next video.
