My biggest frustration with home service businesses is that I get on calls with them and they say, oh, my biggest lead source is word of mouth. Okay, cool. What about all the other channels? Google, Meta, Facebook groups, Yelp, referral partners, Google Ads. All these platforms are sending you leads. Sure, maybe word of mouth is 70%, 60%, but the other 40%, if you knew what was getting you the most leads and the most customers, you would do more of that. And the problem is that in their CRM, they don't know a way to track it. And that's why Jobber released this report called the Lead Source Report, where you can have a customer that comes in You put the lead source in there and then you go to the report and it's going to show you based on this lead source— Yelp, Google Business Profile, Google LSAs, Google Search Ads— the revenue attributed to that lead source. Then every single month you look at it and you say, okay, I need to do more of that, I need to do less of that, I need to fix this, I need to find a company to help me with this. It gives you the data to make the decisions. So if you have a CRM or not even a CRM and you don't know where your leads are coming from and everything is just word of mouth, it's going to be really frustrating and hard to grow because you're just operating on gut feeling. You can try Jobber for free. I'll put a link down in the comments.
