In this video, we're going to discuss the strategy for 2022 digital marketing and how it's evolving and how it's changing. So typically people think digital marketing, they think of very cookie cutter, you know, posting on Facebook or very singular tasks that are going to be completed. We work more on a framework of the interaction with your customer or the customer journey is what we call it. So you can see here, this is the customer journey and this is the old school model. This is probably the 90s of how this was working. A new customer would find you, they go to the yellow pages, they get a referral, they might get direct mail, word of mouth, or you might prospect call them, they call your database or they call your company or they come into your office or something and then you schedule an appointment. You go out there, you do the sale, then they come out the other side and maybe you have a postcard that goes out to them asking for review, or some postcard drip campaign that goes out saying, hey, come back and work with us. Maybe there's some mailers and then maybe there's a call that goes out saying, hey, it's your yearly time to get your service done. Then they come back into the pipeline. So this is 90s, early 2000s. This is how this was working from a customer journey perspective. Currently, if you're not familiar of how this is currently operating and should be operating, is people go online to Google and they ask Google instead of the yellow pages, they're asking Google now. And Google has a whole algorithm. You don't just be, you know, AAAAA for yellow Pages. There's actually a way to rank higher on organic search so you can run ads on Google or other platforms through social media still referrals, direct mail still works. But things are changing to be online, as we all know, they come, they contact your business, they schedule an appointment, maybe there's online scheduling. That's a really big shift that happen in 2020, 2021, they get an estimate. Maybe we share pricing online, maybe not. They go into the sales process, then they come out the other side probably within the last five years. There's a monthly newsletter that goes out. There's some social media in the past two or three years, there's some ads retargeting your old clients on Facebook and those types of places to re engage them and then turn them into returning customers. This is kind of the current landscape of how this is working. In 2022, what we're seeing, and 2022 to probably 2025, there's going to be a big shift coming. And in the green is what's highlighted. So voice, as we all know, everything is shifting to voice. So instead of people just going on, on Google, on their phone or something like that, they're going to ask Siri or ask Google, hey, I need to get this service done. Maybe even eventually on their air handler or on their toilet or even on their refrigerator. Maybe there's a service option and they can schedule an appointment right online and say, hey, I need to get a certain service or something like that. In H vac service contracts, I see them eventually getting to the point where they're inside of your actual units, where you can schedule with your service contracts, something like that. But this is probably like three to five years down the line. But voice search, in my opinion, is coming in the next year or two. So how can you set yourself up so from an organic search perspective, you can do voice. So the first thing is you can set up all your listings. This is a big focus for us, is making sure that everything is consistent so that people can find you. Because there are algorithms for, you know, your Google Home services, your Amazon devices, those types of things. Then voice scheduling, this is the next level to it, which is, okay, can I actually schedule an appointment with this company by using my voice? And this is a pretty big game changer because how do you get a price and all this stuff from voice or scheduling? And I think that this is going to be a big change coming up in the next two years then. So they still come into your business. Can they schedule online? There are ways to do this already. I've created videos on that, but Calendly is one way. Schedule Engine is another partner that we work with. That's a great way. Timetap is another really good one that we work with. So there's ways to set up online scheduling for any business. Literally any business you can set up online scheduling for. We've done it. So if you have questions, drop a comment below. I'm sure that I can help you estimate pricing. You know, are we giving digital, digital proposals, right? Or are we scanning PDFs in and sending them over? How's that look? And then ultimately, when it comes out the other side, things are really changing on this front. And this is fast. This is 2021, 2022. These need to be implemented. So before there was a monthly newsletter that was going out. Now it's going to be text drip campaigns because texting is getting cracked down on, you know, no one wants to get spammy texts which was old spammy emails. So now people can opt in just so you can subscribe to email newsletters. Now you can subscribe to text drip campaigns and text, hey, I want to, I want to know when there's 10% off or I want to know when there's a special going on here. So we're trying to position our clients to get into the text drip campaign space and it's proving amazing. We, I mean we have a 5% return rate, response rate on our text messages from a campaign that we just ran with a client. So it's really good. If you're interested in learning more about that, like that's a game changer and I think that it can really impact your business. Custom videos and facetime. So imagine if you have an issue with your H Vac unit and you want to be able to be connected with a technician. Well, instead of that technician coming out, maybe just like they have the doctors now where you can interact with, maybe there's a video interaction with H Vac people or plumbers to answer questions and there's a charged fee instead of a dispatch fee coming out. So things are really changing from a video and FaceTime perspective. I think that the custom videos and FaceTime are going to be, are going to be changing in the next probably year or two. Tech strip campaigns is here now. So this is something that everyone should be on if you have a retargeting retention game plan. So this is what's coming up next.
