Phil Risher says sending a quote isn't enough. You need contact info and a follow-up plan: reach out within 1-3 days for urgent requests, 14-21 days for service leads. Quotes open doors. Follow-up closes them.

Most businesses are Oprah Winfrey with the quotes. You get a quote, you get a quote, you get a quote. That's great. You want to generate quotes, but what you don't want to do is just generate quotes and have nothing to follow up with. You need to get an email, you need to get a phone number and then you need to be following up with these people. If it's something that's a no heat call, I got a leak in my house. Something that's very demand driven, you want to be following up in the first three to five days. To get this on the books in the first day or two, even three times is okay because they need to make a decision now and either it's going to be you or someone else. Another thing that's more service based, that's nice to have a 14 or 21 day follow up sequence every couple days is fine. Just to touch base with them. You need to have process when you're generating a bunch of quotes. Quotes are going to grow your business, but you have to close the quotes to grow your business.
