Phil Risher grew his home-service company from 36 to 1,000 Google reviews in a year by paying technicians $10 per review and embedding a QR code into the final invoice step. Customers scan to leave a review, which triggers the technician's payment.

Reviews aren't luck, they're a system you install. At my home service business, we had 36 Google reviews and we went to 1,000 reviews in 12 months. What we did was we got rid of the AI automation and we built a system with our technicians. One, we incentivize the technicians for reviews. We give them $10 for each review. Two, we created a QR code and we put it on a little business card and we said, every time someone scans this QR code and leaves you a review, you'll get money. Three, we built it into the process. At the end of the job, when we were going to give them an invoice, we said, hey customer, we have two things for you. One, we have the invoice. Can you pay that here? But before you do that, how was everything with my service today? Do you mind scanning this QR code and leaving me a quick review? It lets my boss know that I'm doing a good job. That's the system that took us from 36 to 1,000 reviews, and it's helped hundreds of home service businesses generate thousands of reviews.
