A customer dropped $100,000 on a golf simulator but didn't know the company also services it. The speaker blames internal gaps: nobody had time to tell them about the full range of offerings. Sustainable growth stalls when your own team doesn't know what you sell.
I think one of the most frustrating things I have is customers that we've done one of our services or products for, they don't know we do the other service. I had a guy last week where I checked in with him. He's like, yeah, dude, I just got this golf simulator. It's awesome. You're kidding me. Who'd you get a golf simulator from? That's literally my main business right now. You know, like, how did I not know this guy spent $100 grand with us before? Right. So it's like, how does he not know? You know? And it's like, that's on us or on me, you know, to make sure we're doing that. Time, people. That's the biggest thing is like having someone that understands all the business and able to help portray that.
