Phil Risher found a $4 million business whose owner thought Google Ads cost $5,000 a month. The agency was actually spending $20,000 without telling him. Risher's approach is the opposite: audit everything, cut waste, show the client exactly what's happening.
We had a guy that we just started working with, God bless him, $4 million business. He thought that his ad spend was $5,000 on Google Ads, but it was $20,000 a month. So he didn't know that his agency, cuz he didn't have access to anything, was actually spending $20,000 a month on Google Ads. Part of our onboarding process was going through and cleaning up all of his stuff, and then we actually get on a call and walk him through every single thing so that he knows what's he's actually doing from Google Ads. Most times Google Ads is just like a black box and business owners have no idea what's going on. And so they're just at the mercy of whatever their agency is doing and they don't know.
