Most businesses waste marketing money because they can't track what spending actually produces revenue, they advertise on the wrong channels, and they ignore warm leads that are already 60-80% sold. Spend $10,000 on ads without proper tracking and you'll never know if it worked.

Spending money on marketing is the fastest way to lose money. Here's three reasons why your marketing's not working. One, you're spending money on marketing, but you don't know if it's working. You spent $10,000 over here. You got a certain amount of leads, but you don't know if that turned into $100,000, $50,000 or zero. The second thing is that you're spending on the wrong marketing. We have a hierarchy of Flash. This is what you should do. Google LSA is number one. Google search ads, Yelp, Angie, Meta, YouTube, home, home shows, mailers, in that order. If you spend on the wrong stuff, you're going to get trash leads. And the third thing, your sales process is broken. You have a bunch of leads coming in, but you're only focused on the bottom of the funnel. People that schedule appointments with you, all these other people that are maybe 60% of the way, 70% of the way, 80% of the way there. You're not even reaching out to them. Then you go out on these calls and you're only closing them if they actually want to work with you, if they're the hottest leads possible. That's not how you fully grow a business. And especially as you spend more on marketing, your audience is going to get colder and colder and colder. They're not going to know as much about you, which means they're not going to close as much, which means you need a better sales process. If you are falling into those three things, that's probably why you feel like you're spending a bunch of money on marketing and you don't know if it's working and you feel like you're just wasting money.
