If you're looking for new customers for your business, in this video, I'm going to share with you the only six ways for local service businesses to get new customers. And the beauty of this video is that you're going to be able to analyze your business and say, am I doing this? Am I doing this? Am I doing this? Can I do this better? Can I do this better? Can I do this better? And ultimately check off every single thing on this list to get new customers. Now, they all take different times, they all take different strategies. But. But the goal of this video is to go through this checklist with you, discuss these strategies, and share some of the best practices that other service businesses are doing. We partner with local service businesses and we help them increase their sales and keep their schedules full. And this is literally what we do with our customers, and we help them with these systems and processes. All right, so let's get right into this video. So the only ways to get new customers, the first one is going to be search engine optimization. Someone goes to Google, they type in a mover near me. They go down here, they see your off site SEO, which is your local service pack. Here, they only pick three of these or four of these out of however many people. Or they find your website on here. Like movers in Frederick, Maryland, which is where we're located. This is your on site SEO. You have off site SEO and on site SEO. So if you do a search in your area and you don't pop up in this section, which is your local service pack called off site SEO, or this section here, which is your website rankings, which is on site SEO, then you may not be in the perfect spot to get new customers in the door. So number one is SEO. If the company you're working with is not doing strategies for this, which we've made videos about this, but these are them. You know, get reviews, do on page SEO, build some links, post on your on your business profile response reviews, get citations. If they're not doing this stuff on your website, right, they should be doing this. But that's the first thing is SEO. All right? The second thing that you can do to get new customers is digital ads. Digital ads are when someone searches online, right? They could run these Google local service ads, which you made videos about, which is great. They could run these Google search ads, which are great. They could run Facebook ads, Yelp ads, Angie ads, thumbtack, you know, whatever. It's very transactional. New customers, you pay this amount, you get this new new lead, and then you turn them into a customer. Sometimes people say, oh, well, this person's not running these ads good enough for me. So then they go over here because they run better ads and they have better strategies, right? But at the end of the day, you can run ads, and if you're stuck, you can run more ads to get more customers. And we made videos about this before. The transactional side of things versus the branding side of things. SEO is more of a branding play. There is a strategy to it, but also like reviews is branding. Digital ads, it's just transactional. Pay this much for leads, you get this many leads. All right, next we have social media. We all know that posting on social media can get you leads. A lot of times I hear, well, my Facebook doesn't bring me any business, or my. My Instagram doesn't bring me any business. What you have to understand is that people are in these local Facebook groups saying, does anyone know a good mover? Does anyone know a good carpet cleaner? Does anyone know a good air duct cleaning company? And they link to your page. Those people go to your page, they look at your pictures, they look at your frequency of posting. When's the last time you posted? Then they go to your website. The second way is that people are looking online through SEO. They find a company and they say, okay, this company looks good. And then they say, let me just go see if they. If they're active on social media, because that probably means that they're pretty engaged with their business. They go to your Facebook, they go to your Instagram as a vetting process. And so that's why social media is good. With that being said, there are companies that specialize in just social media marketing, which is creating reels, shorts, content for your company. And this is a way that you could go to the next level, which is just not posting videos or like, you know, happy St. Patrick's Day or something silly. It's actual content for your company. Or one way that we do this is we'll actually get pictures, and then we pair them up with content from the website or reviews, and we try to give it a best shot as we can, since we're not on site taking videos and that kind of stuff. All right, next up, we have B2B and referral. We've made videos about this before, but this is a really, really good strategy to get new customers because you can sell one time to another company and then get all of their referrals that are coming in. Instead of having to sell one for one, you can sell one for 10 or one for 50 or one for 100. The way this looks, you do carpet cleaning, you, you go, you find a realtor, you sell to them, then they refer you all of their business. And again, we made videos about how to do this. But there's a million ways that you can come up with B2B strategies for your business. You just have to cultivate the relationships and get new customers in the door. It's a really good low hanging fruit option. Next is your paper, your door knocking. More old school. But this is like you send out mailers, you go door to door and you try to sell stuff. You put hangers flyers up, you put yard signs up, right? You can get new customers like this. There's no proven method that says if you put a yard sign out here, you're going to get this many calls. If you knock on this many doors, you're going to get this many leads. You could have a proven method yourself. But what we found is that it's not really that scalable and it takes a lot of time. People actually doing the work where these other one, these other strategies, they don't take all your time sitting there. And also with direct mail or mailers, very expensive. And the ROI may not be there where some of these other ones might. All right, and then we're at the last one here, which is just your general word of mouth and referral. And this is a huge area of opportunity with businesses in that they're not asking for referrals to people that already know, like and trust them. And so the way you can do this is after you do the service, then you can ask them, hey, do you mind giving me a Referral? Here's a $50 off coupon to any friend or family member. And if they do service as well, we'll send you an Amazon gift card or we'll put you in a raffle for an Amazon gift card or whatever. What we found is that there are only six ways to get truly new customers in the door. And these are them. These are the only six ways. If you have another one, I'm very curious, put a comment down below. Maybe I did miss one. I don't know. But from what I know is that these are the only six ways to get new customers in the door. Now the one that I did not mention is retargeting, which is bringing past customers back into the funnel because truly that's not a new customer in the door. And so that's why I didn't include that on here. But cool. If you're interested in discussing your business and how you can use all these strategies. I'll put a link down below.
