Short YouTube advice by Phil Risher explaining a simple, manual method to measure and improve return on ad spend (ROAS) for a home-service business. Recommends routing Google Ads to a landing page with a custom tracking phone number and form, recording submissions/calls to a Google Sheet, and reconciling with the CRM to compute ROAS and guide growth decisions.

This business owner was slow and he was going up against a million dollar month last year. This month he didn't know what to do. So what we did was we said, hey, let's look at your return on ad spend and figure out where your top leads and customers are coming from. And let's do more of that. Most companies when they feel slow, they just pray to the Google gods and throw more money at Google and they don't even know if it's working. That's why your return on ad spend is so important. If you don't have this dialed in, here's a very simple process. You take your ads, you run them to a landing page. On that landing page you have a custom tracking phone number and tracking form. Those two things get registered into a Google sheet. If someone fills out that form or clicks that call button goes into a goog sheet. Now you have a list of all the leads that came from your Google Ads. All you have to do at that point is take those leads and go to your CRM and figure out what happened to them. Now you have your return on ad spend data. Sounds very manual, but if you do it this way, it's a very simple way to pull your return on ad spend data and quantify if it's working or not. The beauty of this is that now you have good data so you can make good decisions on how you're going to grow your business.
