Phil Risher shows where to put call-tracking numbers to measure what actually converts. Google Business Profile, ads, email, and yard signs all need separate numbers so you can see which channels drive real customers and stop wasting money on what doesn't work.

There's 4 good places to have call tracking numbers. The first one is going to be on your Google Business Profile. This allows you to see who's coming from your Google Business Profile and allow you to listen to the calls straight from your Google Business Profile and track things. The second one is in your ads. Any ads that you're running— Google Search Ads, Google Local Service Ads, Meta, Yelp, whatever— you want to have tracking numbers so that way you can track return on ad spend and the calls that are coming in from these platforms. The third one is in any type of email outreach to your customers. This allows you to see if people are calling you from your outreach to them and turning into a customer. That gives you a true return from your outreach. And then the fourth one is if you're doing yard signs, Having a tracking number on there will allow you to know if you're getting calls from your yard signs or not. If you don't know how to set up call tracking numbers and you don't know how to track your calls, CallRail is a really good platform to help you do that. I'll put a link down in the comments, you can try it out.
