Phil Risher explains why home-service reps tag every call as "Google." They don't know where the call actually came from. CallRail fixes this with tracking numbers and whisper messages that announce the campaign when the phone rings, so reps tag leads correctly.

This is so frustrating with home service businesses. I had 4 CSRs and every single time someone called in, they would put the lead source as Google. And then I would go and pull the report at the end of the month to figure out where our leads came from, and they'd all say Google. And I would say, guys, we can't just put Google in here. And they said, well, we don't know. And that's exactly why businesses need to use a tool that allows them to track the phone numbers. They put a whisper message on there so when someone calls in and says, this is a call from Google search ads, specifically the campaign for plumbing ads. Something like that that lets the CSRs know where they should tag the lead source. And this is why you need to use call tracking numbers if you're a home service business owner. And the best company for that is called CallRail. And what they do is they allow you to buy tracking numbers and forward those numbers into your main line and put whisper messages on there and track how many calls came through, the transcripts, and all those things. If you want to try CallRail, I'll put a link in the comments.
