Phil Risher shows how a $10 million plumbing company tracked Google Local Service Ads directly to invoices and found a 5x return on $2,500 monthly spend. When they doubled the budget to $5,000, they got 8x return. Without this tracking, you're gambling with ad money.

If you can't tie ad spend to invoices, then you're gambling. We have a $10 million plumbing company that we work with. When they started working with us, they were spending $2,500 a month on Google Local Service Ads. They didn't know if that was making them $20,000 or $10,000 or $0. When we started tracking their ad spend to invoices, it showed that they made $12,000. So close to 5x return. So what do we do? We said, let's spend more on that channel. So we doubled it from $2,500 to $5,000. The results? Now they made $40,000 the next month, an 8x return. The silent bleed here is if you don't know if you're making money or losing money, you don't know what to scale up or down, and you could waste money on ad platforms that don't make money, and you could spend money and not spend enough money to make even more money. So if you don't know that you're spending this much money and making that much money, you're pretty much gambling.
