Phil Risher's team got 4,625 Google reviews by paying technicians $10 per review with their name on it, tracking progress on a break-room board with truck tokens, and printing Canva plaques for those who hit 100 reviews. One technician, Joel, photographed his plaque to show his wife.

We got 4625 Google reviews. By removing automations. What we did was we built it into the culture. We gave incentives to technicians to get reviews. Every review that they got with their name in it, they got paid $10. In the break room, we had a board and each technician had a little truck. Every time they got a review, we moved the truck to the next stage. Once they got to 100 points or 10 reviews, they got a little sticker on their truck, like in football, where you got stickers on your helmet for doing good things. Once they got a hundred Google reviews, we actually made a little plaque on Canva for them and we printed it out and we stuck it right up top of the break room. One day I'm there, 6:30 with 28 technicians. This guy Joel walks in the door, he takes out his phone and he takes a picture of his plaque on the wall. And I said, hey, Joel, what are you doing, man? He's like, I'm taking a picture to send it to my wife. She's going to be so proud of me. This is what I'm talking about, about building a culture of getting reviews. It'll supercharge your review game and you won't have to rely on automations. You'll have a team that cares about getting reviews to help you grow your business.
