Phil Risher says your conversion rate is what matters, not how your site looks. A plain website converting 24-30% of visitors is outperforming a fancy one converting 2%. Before spending $10,000 on a redesign, check if your site already works.

Pretty websites don't matter if they don't turn visitors into book jobs. Sometimes when we bring on clients, their websites are not cutting edge. But before we say, "Hey, you need to rebuild this website and spend all this money," we want to pull the data first. We want to see how many local visitors that you had versus how many leads came through. So if you got 100 people in your local market that came to your website and you converted 10 of them into lead, that's a 10% conversion rate. That tells us that that's your goal, 10%. We have some clients that their websites are not the greatest looking websites. But they convert 24-30% of their visitors into leads. This is why you don't just look at, oh, my website doesn't look good, or my website does look good. It's all about performance. My website is converting 25% of my traffic into leads, I'm good with it. You don't need to spend $10,000 on a new website if it's converting website traffic into leads.
