This is a YouTube video titled "Your tech walked out of a 20k job" containing a monologue or presentation discussing incentive programs for customers, partners, and technicians in the HVAC industry, focusing on referral rewards and motivating technicians through tiered payments and bonuses for five-star reviews and referrals. The content is from July 29, 2025.
A good program is making sure you incentivize every single piece of the puzzle, one being the customer or the partner. Maybe it's property manager or another contractor or a homeowner. You want to make sure you incentivize them and do it on a tiered basis. If somebody is giving you a $20,000 install referral, I would suggest paying all the way up to 250, all the way up to 500 bucks. That would still be much lower than your cost per acquisition. For a lot of H Vac contractors locally, I would highly suggest spiffing a technician when they get a five star review to give them 20 bucks, 30 bucks if they're producing a referral. That's basically a tech generated lead. That way he is incentivized. He checks out of the home. This is a part of the post sale checkout process. He's introducing the personal referral program and he really cares about it.
