Chapters

With addiction, it looks like really selfish behavior, but a lot of the people that I see that have addiction, they're actually overly people-pleasing people. And so what happens is in their mind, they give, they do everything, they sacrifice everything, and this is their one thing. It's, this is my one thing I do for me. Think about like the moms, right? That you see that I take care of these 4 kids, I go to the PTA, I do this, I run carpool. Like I'm constantly, I clean the house, I wash the dishes, and I want to have a glass of wine at night. What is your problem? And a lot of them are very either A-type or people-pleasing or productive people.
