I know lots of people that go to college do some excessive drinking, but there really is a clear difference between having some fun, maybe drinking a little excessively socially with your friends, and alcohol use disorder.
In the beginning, it seemed normal, just because I think everybody like me, was so eager to have that college experience and start going out on the weekends and doing all those things. You hear what college is. And then I think pretty quickly it turned to, I was going to drink on Friday and Saturday. I might as well drink Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Okay? And I think just because I was in college, it seemed like, although maybe everybody else wasn't doing it, it didn't seem like the biggest deal in the world.
