One of the real difficulties people go through in early recovery is finding out who's their real friend. And almost every single person I work with, there's some surprises that come with this. There's always a few people that you think are really going to be there for you. That's your best mate forever. You got, like, the heartbroken necklaces with them or whatever, and they don't. They just disappear. And then there's other people that maybe you know, or acquaintances that you don't feel that close to, and all of a sudden they step in to really be there for you and support you. And it's always surprising. There's always a few that kind of come out of left field that you didn't qu expect.
