When someone has an addiction, you're not playing on the same field as you were initially before that addiction. The brain doesn't work the same way. And if you're trying to get through to someone who has an addiction by expressing your feelings and crying and whining and begging and threatening, it's the least effective thing that you can do. In fact, expressing your feelings about it is pretty much ineffective.
