You as the family member are going to want to say something and you're going to want to say it sassy at best, probably angrily and with a lot of resentment and hostility. You as the person who's struggling with this, you're going to want to hide it. You're going to want to justify it. You're going to want to blame. You're going to want to make excuses. But I want you to go against those instincts. If you and your loved one, you guys are trying to get this together, you're going to have to be a team on it. If at all possible, that is the scenario that works best.
