Here are eight things not to say when someone tells you they're not having kids. I don't know why, but these what not to say lists are always controversial and seem to trigger or offend someone. So let's get into it. You'll change your mind. What will you do with your time and your life then? But you're missing out on one of the best things in life. Your mom had you. What about when you get old? Who's going to take care of you? Don't you want a family? You might end up regretting that decision, but you'd be such a great mom or dad. None of these responses are helpful. In fact, they're condescending and hurtful. You may have heard them before, so it's tempting to just repeat what previous generations said to you or what you've heard in the past. But the next time you're about to say something like this, think twice and stop yourself. Simple response like it's great that you know what you want and are so sure of it. We can respect other people's decisions, even if they look different from our own. What else would you add to this list?
