Here are four types of comments that can come off pretty condescending in conversations, and they're more positive, genuine alternatives that could never be me. Good for you. That's really great. Where are you going so dressed up? You look great. Any special plans later? You look tired. How are you doing today? I know you've had a lot on your plate lately. That's not how it works. Can I offer a suggestion? All of us have used the potentially condescending terms before at some point or another, so we're going to give the benefit of the doubt here. But if you tend to lean on those comments for whatever reason now, you can be more aware and substitute them with some better sounding alternatives. I'm well with Rael, your communication coach. Tell me what kind of condescending comments you've heard in the past and how you would alternate them for something better and more positive.
