Here is an easy tip that you can incorporate in your daily communication that increases your persuasiveness, warmth and likability. Use words or phrases that give the other person a hint of positive reinforcement and we don't need to overthink this. This can be something as simple as saying, that's a great question. That's a great point. That's smart. That's really creative. That's a great way of handling it to give the other person a little dopamine hit and boost their ego. Studies have shown that this type of positive verbal communication increases the speaker's likability and establishes rapport between the two parties. And what does rapport do? It builds trust, which helps you come off more persuasive and convincing later on if and when you need it. Now, I'm not saying to be fake and say positive things when you don't actually mean them, but if you feel something positive, get comfortable articulating terms and phrases like this and sprinkling them into your daily communication. They are great for personal and professional settings. I'm well with Rael, your communication coach, here to help you socialize and articulate with kindness, class and confidence. And as always, I hope this was helpful.
