I don't know who needs to hear this, but there is a very distinct difference between being a little self deprecating and always making yourself the butt of a joke. If you are constantly laughing at yourself or putting yourself down, other people are going to start to see you that same way. Start taking yourself seriously. From the things you say to the intentions that you set to the overall mindset you have about yourself and the actions you carry out. Only when you start to take yourself seriously is when other people can even begin to see you in that light. So own who you are. Stop constantly laughing at yourself and do not be afraid to take up space.
