Here's what to say when someone repeats something you just said, and I'm talking about when this constantly happens with the same people, not the random one offs here and there. Thank you for reiterating my point. I'm glad you agree. I felt like this was an important idea to bring to the table, so I'm glad to see that we're aligned. Yep, that's exactly it. And if I could add to that to clarify my original point, I love that you agree. Now, I'm not saying that everyone who's doing this is doing it maliciously. Some people repeat what others are saying as a way to show that they're actively listening or or a way to make sure that they understood what was being said. But the acknowledgement of what was said is what's key, and sometimes the lack of that acknowledgement can be annoying. So I hope these suggestions are useful to you. If you find yourself in situations like this often and would like to see that acknowledgement, I am well with Raelle, your communication coach. Let me know if you use one of these prompts and tell me how it goes.
