Hi everybody, Randall F. Dean, Email Sanity Expert here. And hey, I wanted to continue on the microlearning video series on effective email etiquette strategies with this third video focusing on what I call the 4 W's of effective email composition. And building on the last video on better email subject lines. This is what I recommend that you always ask right up front when you are about to compose an email to put yourself in the recipient's shoes so that you are getting them the information that they need to effectively be able to, uh, respond to whatever is in that email. And here's what I think those 4 W's are. 1, why are they getting the email? 2, what do they need to know within that email? 3 is what is it they need to do? And 4, when do they need to have it done by? Once again, that's why'd they get it? What do they need to know? What do they need to do? When do they need to have it done by? And if you can get down to just that 4 basic things, things in your normal email composition to a single other entity, you're making it really hard for the recipient to not be able to do what they need to do with that information. Um, you know, keep it simple, get right to the point. I would even argue that those 4 W's could make 4 fantastic quick and succinct bullet points to make it really hard to mess up. So consider that. Now, we're going to talk a little bit more about other deeper factors as this series continues, but, you know, when it just comes down to really simple and basic composition, I love the 4W strategy in terms of making sure that you're making it clear for the recipient as the person composing the email as the person about to hit send. Awesome. Hope you like this one. Please feel free to like and share, um, and subscribe to the channel if you haven't yet. We're over 5,000 subscribers now. Very cool. Bye now, everybody.
