All right, hi everybody, Randy Dean, the Email Sanity Expert here. I just wanted to make a really quick little video to announce my new live webinar program that is going to be taking place on Tuesday, April 13th. I'm going to be offering two time slots for that program, one at 10 AM Eastern, 9 AM Central, and a second time slot at 1 PM Eastern, 10 AM Pacific. That way it can cover all the different time zones and different times for people. When you register, you'll be able to choose your time slot. We'll work that out once we get the registration. And I just wanted to ask you a few quick questions, just a few quick questions. First, squirrel! Is your email driving you crazy? Has it become more distraction than a powerful productivity tool? You know, email is supposed to be a powerful productivity tool to enhance your personal and professional performance? Huh, interesting. Um, are you losing and forgetting your most important messages and also not responding as quickly as you should to your most important senders? Do you keep looking at the same emails over and over and over again? Did you know that the average person looks at each and every email 3 to 7 times? Yeah. And, um, is the clutter out of control and destroying your productivity? And one final question. I found that, um, when I'm out on the road speaking, which is going to start again pretty soon, I'm excited about that, most people have no formal training. Only about 1 to 3% of working professionals have actually had training on how to better use their Outlook and Gmail, which is what I do in this program. Now let's talk about what we're going to cover to fix all this stuff. First, we're going to talk about the 4 key ways that your inbox owns you.
There's 4.
And if you're not aware of these 4, that's part of the reason your email is driving you nuts.
Second thing is we're going to talk about why you keep looking at emails over and over again. Almost everyone does this, and it's why not only they're looking at their emails over and over again, it's why the clutter stacks on them too. We're going to help you fix that problem. We're going to talk about a really simple way to change your settings in both Outlook and Gmail to greatly reduce the amount of distraction while simultaneously making those most important messages pop.
We're going to also share with you the triage method that I've been teaching for 15 years now on how to effectively and efficiently manage and prioritize your incoming messages and keep that inbox clean.
We're also going to talk about the ways that you can utilize the software to automate certain outgoing messages and replies.
You can automate this stuff.
You don't have to retype it all the time, and you don't have to hunt through your sent folder through 3,000 emails to find the last time you sent it. And we're going to even talk about strategies on folder design, folder management, labeling, and filing your stuff. Search— how to find your stuff once you put it away so you will actually put your stuff away. And we're going to talk about reducing the impact and the distraction of junk and spam messages, and a lot more. This is just a little bit of a cover of everything that's going to be covered in this 90-minute webinar session.
And I'm going to be giving you a whole bunch of bonuses too.
But wait, there's more. We're going to give you several special bonuses for signing up. Not only will you get the primary webinar that you'll be attending—
oh, by the way, can't make the date?
You'll get access to the recording. We're going to talk about that in a minute. But, um, you're also going to get access to a previously recorded 90-minute webinar that I did all about email etiquette and composition. So if you're trying to find better ways to make your emails work better, better subject lines, better formatting, easier for people to understand, reducing the impact of FYIs, reply-alls, and carbon copying everyone. You can watch that as a self-study following this program. Additionally, we're going to have several videos that are both longer form and some that are shorter form with very specific tips for both Outlook and Gmail users, so you can take your training to another level following the live webinar program.
Also, you'll see the picture over here. This is something new that I created last year. It's called my Activated Self-Study Post-Program PDF. That's a mouthful, but let me explain to you what it is. It's a 30-pages bonus-up handouts file that sort of walks along with the key content in the primary program. And I recommend that you do that handouts file following the program, because what it's designed to do is reiterate the key points provide you additional bonus content, access to bonus articles, and links to my YouTube tutorial videos that allow you to go even deeper and see this stuff a second or third time so that you can really master these skills. And of course, you're going to get access to the program recording because I record the webinar and I post it for all registrants. So you're going to get all of this and even more because I'm also going to give you access— when you sign up for the webinar, I'm going to give you 6 months of access to my online e-learning streaming version of the program. So look for the link about that here in the information below. And so if you want to do this, if you're watching this on YouTube and you didn't get a direct email telling you about this, go out to my website, click on the e-learning tab, and at the top of the e-learning tab there will be a link that will take you to the registration page for this webinar on April 13th. And there you're going to see everything that you're going to get in, including and beyond the actual live webinar, as well as the listing of all of the special bonuses for every registrant. There's also even options to purchase multiple licenses for larger groups. So if you've got several people in your organization, take a look at that. But you can also contact me, randy@randalldean.com. If you'd like to get a customized quote for either attending this live public webinar or maybe doing something private for your team. Hope you—
hope to see you there.
All right, good luck taming that email beast.
