Hi everyone, I'm Randy Dean, the Email Sanity Expert and author of the former Amazon bestseller, "Taming the Email Beast." I'm also a very popular speaker and trainer on the conference and training circuit with my related program on effective email management being my most popular program at meetings and conventions, organizational training programs, and live streaming webinars. I wrote and released "Taming the Email Beast" more than a decade ago. That just blows my mind. And since then, I've delivered this program hundreds of times all across North America and Europe to thousands of students, professionals, and leaders in nearly all segments of business, academia, and government. Many of you likely attended one of these live programs, and I've hopefully fundamentally changed the way you approach your work and your email. And today I'm announcing a truly special new effort. I think I've put something together here that may be super useful for you and your company or group. A new kind of training tool that will allow you to master your email in Outlook and/or Gmail at your own pace and speed. I'll explain more about that in a moment. But as you know, the book was written more than a decade ago. A decade is like 50 years in the world of software tools. My training program has, of course, evolved and changed as the software has changed. I've updated my program every year, sometimes multiple times per year, as the most popular email software programs, Microsoft Outlook and Gmail, have changed over the years. My program has been updated, but until now, not my book. Part of the reason I've avoided doing a rewrite is the difficulty in writing technical software instructions that people can actually understand. Have you ever tried reading a software manual? I just strongly believe that people do so much better seeing how to do something with software than reading how to do something with software. Software. And thus, for several years now, I've been spending my extra time building out both my YouTube channel, now with thousands of subscribers, and also my full-length video-based eLearning programs. The YouTube channel has done quite well since it's basically full of 2 to 10-minute videos, not only on email tips in Outlook and Gmail, but also a slew of other tips in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. If you haven't subscribed yet, I encourage you to do so. But what I've done here is married the world of traditional book publishing and writing with the world of video-based content creation and YouTube. I've taken the best of both and combined them into this new mini-guide eBook you have opened right now. Rather than follow the standard procedure of the publishing industry in bulking up this eBook with bunch of fluff to reach a desired page count, this new re-release of my Taming the Email Beast eBook is written as long as it needs to be to give you the most important tools, tips, and strategies for email mastery, but no longer than that. It's only 8 chapters long, plus 1 bonus chapter, and gives you a short, direct, and easy-to-follow text on this critical professional communications tool. But throughout, it also has direct hotlinks to the many tip videos on my YouTube channel. That's one of the really cool features of this eBook format. You can immediately launch these videos and see the tips and techniques rather than read the tips and techniques. And that means you can click the videos to watch the tip, possibly on your second monitor, while you have your Outlook or Gmail open on the other screen. And you can pause, rewind, fast-forward that video tip until you master my recommended techniques for more effective email management and mastery. You can thus do this at your own pace and speed, and you can practice until you master these new time-saving techniques. You can practice until you get it right, and you can do this a little bit of— at a time as your schedule allows. Even 15 minutes every day or two could fundamentally change your email skills and efficiency in just a few short weeks. This book is purposefully short and to the point. You can probably read the whole thing in an hour or two. I know many people are so busy that they don't have the time to read a book the size of a novel, even if it is super useful. So I made this ebook much shorter. But if you add in the video tips within the text, as well as the bonus video tips I'm providing at the end, you could make this your own personal, fully comprehensive self-study program on email management and efficiency. And yes, if you wanted to make this new eBook part of a more formal training effort for your company or group, we could discuss options for hybrid training, including live in-person or webinar programs, plus this eBook for your staff or group members. I'll talk more about this in a separate video near the end of the book. For right now, I just want to thank you for taking the time to open the ebook and watch this first video. I hope you are excited about the chance of finally getting that inbox under control and getting back so much time for your more important works, projects, and people. I'm really hoping to get this on as many screens as possible. So if you like this new video-coordinated ebook format, I'm going to ask for a bit of a favor from you at the end, but for now, close this video and get started on fundamentally changing your work and your relationship with your email and your other inputs, hopefully for the better. Good luck.
