All right. Hi everybody, Randy Dean here. Hey, this is gonna be a super fast video tip today, but maybe one of the most useful ones I'll ever share. Watch this. By the way, if you don't know, I'm Randy Dean, the Email Sanity Expert. And what I want to do is show you something that you can do with your clipboard if you use Windows. And so let's start this thing out. Let's jump out. And what I want to first do is come down here and go to my Settings. And when I go into my settings, what I want you to do is go up to Find Settings and just type in Clipboard, because look, it'll come up Clipboard Settings. Turn that on, and then right down here under Clipboard Settings, come down here and turn on Clipboard History. Now notice what it says: save multiple items to the clipboard to use later. Press the Windows key plus V to see your clipboard history and paste from it. Now watch what happens once you turn this on. This is pretty cool. I'm going to pop out first to an open email that I have, and let's click on my picture inside my signature and do a Ctrl+C, which is a copy. Now let's come down here and grab— you know what, I want to grab my LinkedIn address right here. Yeah, let's do that whole thing, Ctrl+C. You know what, let's go out to, uh, this Word document right here. I want to get this PDF link. Ctrl+C. You see, I keep doing Ctrl+C. And you know what, let's go out and grab my eLearning Academy website. Ctrl+C. And now let's go to this document here. And, uh, what I want to do now is instead of doing a Ctrl+V, which is a paste, I'm going to do a Windows+V. And look what it does. Hey, let's pop in my picture. Let's go down here. Let's put in a Windows+V again and do join my network on LinkedIn. Let's do a Windows+V again and get my YouTube PDF. And let's do that, uh, last one, Windows+V, uh, here's my eLearning Academy. Huh? See, what you can do is you don't have to go back each and every time and replace the item in your clipboard when you want to paste something else. You can clip multiple things at once and paste them all. Now, I was thinking about this. Think about the situation where you're like pulling, um, maybe like email addresses out of a spreadsheet. To send a few emails to a few of your key clients, but you want to personalize each email. What you can do in this situation, obviously, is you can grab an email address, put it in the clipboard, grab the piece of text that you want to have in that personalized email, put that in the clipboard too, and you can now fly because you don't need to have to do a new copy and paste every single time. You can do it once for the text, and then you can just start going through those messages. And that's just one use of this. This is a powerful capability, so turn it on and start using it. Really killer tip. Now remember, the trick is to copy it, and I told you that's Ctrl+C. And then the real trick is to turn on the Windows key, which looks like, you know, the little Windows icon. Windows+V opens up that clipboard, and now you can see all the items that are in here. And, um, You know, there's also a way that it— let's go back to that settings because I want to show you something else in here. Sync across devices. Play around with that. Now you might be able to use your clipboard from your phone and/or your tablet and use it on your computer and vice versa. Interesting. Okay, that's my tip for today. Play around, have some fun.
