Whinypaluza Wednesday: Mama Monday Meetups

In this informal livestream, Rebecca Greene and co‑host Seth chat with their family while promoting a sponsored Spin Gym product. Rebecca shares personal health goals and promises a future update on her weight‑loss progress. She highlights her commitment to supporting women‑owned businesses, mentioning local baker Anastasia’s Artisan Bread and the skincare brand Rodan & Fields, and invites other female entrepreneurs to share their ventures. The core of the episode is the announcement of a new virtual support group called “Mama Monday Meetups,” a free, weekly Zoom gathering for mothers (and eventually dads and kids) to discuss stressors such as back‑to‑school decisions, pandemic‑related isolation, and parenting challenges. Rebecca solicits feedback on meeting times (8:30‑9 PM) and topics, emphasizing a safe, community‑focused space. The segment ends with plans for possible in‑person meet‑ups and expansion to other parent groups.

He's like this marketing guru or something.
I don't know about that. You could tell me I'm not so smart when I forget to take the garbage out.
Oh, I didn't say such a thing.
You did never have said such a thing. I'm gonna get some wine because it's wind day. You get the wine on a wind day.
Um, I swear he didn't have any yet, but I'm working on it. So I need— so Linda, I love the Spin Gym and I need to use it every single day at perfecthomeworkout.com and see how my arms change, because I would love for my arms to get toned. That's one of the goals.
That's what it is.
Speaking of my goals, okay, before I jump into the topic this week, the topic this week is Mama Monday Meetups, which I'm going to talk about. But before I jump into today's topic, I want to tell you that next week I'm going to write about my progress with my goals. You all read my yo-yo weight—
or watched it.
I'm sorry, I— you always correct me. You either read or watched or did both about my yo-yo weight, part 2. And I have been asked for some updates, so I'm gonna give you— I'm gonna give you an update next week. and then I, you know, every so often I will give you an update. So I hope that you are working on your goals for yourself.
And theperfecthomeworkout.com could help you get more—
Okay, stop. Oh God, forgive him. Um, I hope that you are working on your goals and I hope that you will join me as I work towards mine, and I will give you an update next week. Um, for this week— oh gosh, thank you Nicole, I'm working on it. You—
she does look amazing.
I'm, I'm slow Slowly, working on it. Thank you, Nicole. So I wanna talk about women and there is absolutely no sponsors in anything I'm about to say. I love women, I love other mothers, I love how we support each other, I love, yes, she says, "That's how you do it, slow and steady." Right, Nicole, this time? This time I'm going to slowly lose the weight and I am going to keep it off. Woo-hoo! This time.
This time.
So, I love how mothers support other mothers. I could not do it, parenting life without other mothers, including mine. And Nicole says, "I got this." You must have it then.
Nicole is right.
So I just wanna say that it feels really good to support other mothers in more than one way. One of the ways that I support other mothers is I love supporting mothers and their businesses. And our latest thing that you have probably seen if you follow me on Facebook is that we have been ordering bread from Anastasia. Anastasia's Artisan Bread. Go like her on Facebook if you're local. If you're not local, sorry, I miss out. I don't think she ships out of state yet. We'll have to ask her. But her bread is amazing. I love supporting women. Um, I have so many friends in Rodan and Fields. Did I say that right?
You did.
And, um, Katie and Emily and, um, Leslie and so many friends in this wonderful business. And they have new products that I want to buy from them.
What is Rodan and Fields?
Honey, it's skincare. It's skincare, etc. They could answer that question better. They have a new brow thing that I want to get from them. They have an eyelash thing.
You know I'm a sucker for eyebrows.
Anyways, I just want to say I love supporting women. If you have a business, tell me about it. I would love to support you and send people your way. And send people your way. And I want to also talk about my other idea to support women. So my mother told me years and years and years ago, she has a health food store and she has mothers come in stressed out all the time. And she says, "You need to do a group, a group for mothers." I knew she was right, but you know, you get in this hamster wheel of parenting and you're just trying to keep up every day and I have all these ideas and I don't necessarily do them all. So I had a friend, um, message me about Max's bar mitzvah. The bar mitzvah that really did not happen very well.
It happened awesome on Zoom.
It was a Zoom.
It was not a physical mitzvah.
If, if, if you know us, you know it was a Zoom bar mitzvah, and you know it was beautiful, and it was as beautiful as we could do, and it was not my vision, and I'm trying to get over it and get past it.
But she's still working on that.
But she did message me and ask me some questions about Max, and I asked her how she was doing, and she said it depends on the day and that she needs a group. And it was like that nudge, it was like that knock knock, like, again, women need women. And it started when Max was a super young age, and I felt, I felt so isolated. I was home and I felt isolated, and I needed other women. I needed other mothers who were going through what I went through, so I joined a local moms group. And since that day, have always had other mothers that I could talk to, some of which I'm still best friends with to this day. And I know that we need each other. And my heart breaks when I look at social media these days because almost— I know you said some people are coping well, Seth, so I will get to that. Almost every single mother and dad, I'm not discounting dads, but this is about mothers, are stressed out right now. And I could give you a list of reason, reasons. One of the biggest is that, is about back to school and major decisions to make about your children. But there's so many reasons. There's a pandemic going on. You may feel isolated. You may be driving yourself nuts over decisions about school. There's so many reasons that mothers are stressed right now. Maybe you have two parents who have to go to work and you're like, what on earth am I going to do? So this group is for mothers who are stressed and for mothers who are not stressed, and I'll tell you why. If you are stressed out or you feel like you need to talk to other women. I want to give you a safe place where we can all connect every Monday night, where we can get together and we can all talk, and we can talk about what's stressing us out, and we can talk about— we can give each other advice, and we can also just listen. If you are not stressed out, if you are coping well, or if you think you can help other people people. Come, come and just connect with other women and be ready to help and give advice. This isn't just about me giving people advice. This is about all of us coming together and being a group and talking to each other and being there for each other. So if you think this is a good idea, I would love to hear from you. I would love to hear I will be there. This is free of charge. I am not charging for this. This is from my heart, from seeing how stressed out mothers are seeming these days. This is just an idea that I am running with, and I would like to hear from you about topics that you would like to cover. So please comment. I would love to hear, um, times, times that you want to meet. I was thinking 8:30 or 9 o'clock on Monday nights, depending on— I want to get feedback from you. I want to pick a time that is going to work for people. I don't want to do during the day. I want to do at night, and I want to hear from you. So please tell me, do you think this is a good idea? Are you going to come? Are you going to tell your friends to come?
Um, I'm gonna tell all the moms.
Tell me what time would work best for you. That's the biggest thing because we're going to do it on Zoom. I would love to get us all together in person and maybe one day, maybe in the future, I can do a local outside group. Maybe we could pick a Monday night to do it outside with wine and maybe we could do a Monday night group outside together if you're local, but for now I'm going to start on Zoom, and we will send out a link, and we will invite you to come, and I hope that you will come, and I hope that you will find other mothers that you can connect to, and I hope that you will find having this every Monday is helpful to you. So this is my latest idea, and I hope you like it, and further details are coming for for this Monday night. Ella! Ella, come on down. Mommy's done. I don't know. She's coming. I'm coming. She's coming. Thank you for watching Wani Blues on Wednesday with the Green Family. Where's Lily? Cha-cha chicken.
Cha-cha chicken.
Lily and Max.
Dads and kids, don't worry, we didn't forget about you.
Oh, yes.
There will, assuming this goes well, which I'm sure it will, there will be a group for dads at some point. We talked today about a group for kids possibly, so lots of cool stuff is coming, so make sure you turn in to the first one.
So I'm thinking that I'm gonna start with moms, and I'm thinking that kids need this too, and probably dads too.
It'll be a dorky dad day.
Stay tuned. Thank you everybody for watching, I'll see you next week.
We'll see you Monday.
Oh, we'll see you Monday.
