Here are six things that these college coaches are going to look at during the spring, summer and fall at showcases, camps and tournaments. Number one is the first thing that they see. Your physicality. How physical are you? Have you been in the weight room? Number two is your athleticism and your actions, which equals your projectability. How athletic are you? How smooth are you? How your hands, how your feet, how your bat speed, how's your arm action? All of those things. And there's metrics like arm velocity, 60 exit velocity. A A lot of this is overblown from a metric standpoint, but it definitely is a piece of the puzzle. Number four, arguably the most important one, is your game performance. How well are you doing in game and against good competition? That's super important. Number five is your academics and number six is your character. Make sure you focus on these six things.
