Recruiting is a game.

Former Division I coach Alex Swenson says talented athletes lose recruiting battles because families don't know the rules. He frames college recruiting as a learnable game with a clock and scoreboard, and offers a 30-day playbook to make athletes visible to coaches and ensure eligibility.

Recruiting is a game with a clock, with a field, with rules and more. And here's the part nobody tells you. Your athlete has been trained for years to play their sport and zero minutes to play this one. That's why talented kids lose it. I'm Coach Alex, a former D1 coach, scout, and recruiter. I sat on the other side of this game for 11 years and I watched families lose it every single week, not because their kid wasn't good enough, but because they didn't know How it was played. Think about it like any game. There's a clock, there's recruiting windows open and closed by grade, and most families don't know when. There's a field, the schools that actually fit your athlete, and most families are playing on the wrong field chasing 40 logos with everyone else. There are rules, eligibility, contact periods, what coaches can and can't do. And there's a scoreboard, a coach's board. And if your athlete Isn't on that board, you're not even in the game. And if you don't know how to play, you don't lose loudly, you lose quietly. The windows close while you're at another camp. The email goes unanswered because it looks like everyone else's. The transcript disqualifies your athlete before a coach ever watches film. Nobody calls to tell you. The game just moves on. Here's the good news. The game is learnable. Every rule, every window, every move Your athlete doesn't need more talent. Your family needs the playbook. And once you have it, you're not hoping anymore. You're playing the game. That's exactly what the Recruit Ready Challenge is. It's your playbook, 30 days built for your athlete's sport and grade that gets them organized, visible, and coach ready. Day 30, your family has the list, the film, coaches know who your athlete's name, eligibility handled, and a 12-month plan. You know the rules, you know the move, you know what to do next. The doors are open right now. They close September 30th, and we start together October 1st. Comment recruit, and I'll send you the link. Stop guessing at a game you were never taught. Learn how to play it. See you soon.

Most families are not missing scholarship money because their athlete is unqualified.

Two families DM’d me this week with the exact opposite problem. Same answer for both. 👇

Thousands of families are on a waitlist for something that does not open for another week.
