Alex Swenson walks through a recruiting coach's day: up at 5:30 with his kids, gym by 7, office by 8:30. The work is mostly calls with college coaches about roster needs, building school lists for players, and creating highlight videos and exposure plans. The payoff comes when clients get offers and commit.

Chapters
Hey team, Alex Swinson here. Come along with me as I show you a day in the life as a college baseball recruiting coach with premier athletes. Typically my day starts off super early, between 5:30 and 6:00am, not necessarily by choice there. I have two young kids, a 2 and a 4 year old and they get up early. So we are rocking and rolling and then I try my best to get into the gym at 7am most days and work out to about 8am and get in the office at 8:30. And then we are rocking and rolling on the recruiting process at that time I am typically working on my clients school list, schools that they are interested in and then also recommending other schools that could be a good fit for them. Not only athletically but geographically, academically of course. And then I will be talking to college coaches, see what their needs are in my clients classes as they go through this. So if they're in the 25 class, 26 class, 27 class, I'll be seeing so we can strategically go after schools that are in need of their position. That is really important going through the recruiting process because not every school's in need of every position each year. So we can have a game plan and then I'll be talking to clients throughout the day of having a plan of action, a proactive plan to go after the schools. From an exposure plan, getting noticed, getting seen, to a communication plan and communication process with these college coaches. Best ways to do that to camps and showcases. What are the best ones out there, what are not the best ones out there that we want to avoid going through this to working on highlight videos showcasing my clients best qualities as a player, social media, tagging players, retweeting players to get their exposure out there as well and then also working on my presentations. We meet typically every two weeks with my guys so we stay on track with everything and having that all squared away there. And so we can be providing as much value, much direction periodically throughout the seasons. Right. So whether it's the spring or summer or fall or winter, there's things that we can be doing and not be doing going through this recruiting process. And then lastly the best thing about this is getting a phone call from a parent or a player and letting me know they got an offer from their dream school and they're going to be committing. That is just such a special moment and it's really the reason why I do what I do now, why I created premier athletes is because I had such an amazing college experience not only on the field but off it and got a great education and made friendships that last a lifetime and experiences that lasted a lifetime. I'm just trying to give that back to as many guys as I possibly can. So I hope you enjoyed that and give you an overview of all that I do. Good luck to you.
