How to respond to a camp invite from a college coach. Let’s see if it’s legit.

Alex Swenson explains how to vet a college camp invite. Reply with your position, class, grades, and top metrics. If the coach responds quickly and says they recruit from that camp, go. If they ghost, skip it.

This is how you respond to a camp and fight going through this recruiting process. Because I'm sure you get emails all the time, have come to this and come to that. It's hard to kind of filter through, like, hey, what is legit? What is not? What's worth the investment of time and resources going to this camp? And is there actual opportunity? Because not all camps, not all showcases, not all recruiting events are created equal. So when you get an invite, respond saying this, hey, Coach, thanks so much for. For your interest in the camp invite. I just wanted to confirm what type of camp is this? All right, that's going to create dialogue, all right. For them to respond. And are you in need of my position in my class? All right. Make sure you say your position and your class, obviously. And maybe highlight, like, a couple bullet points of your top metrics and grades in there. If you want to, you can put your recruiting video there as well. Now the college coach will respond, which is a great sign that this is a good event, or you might get ghosted. All right? And there is no response. And there is your answer there from that. So if you get a camp response, very good sign that you might want to consider going, especially if the coach is like, hey, yeah, this is a recruiting event. We recruit heavily out of these camps, and we are in need of your position. Great. All right, Then you need to consider going or you don't get any response there. And the answer's there. You're not going to go to the camp. Good luck.
