D1 Baseball is going through massive changes right now from a roster standpoint and a scholarship standpoint, which is really exciting. I'm going to get to that here in a second. Now, the max number of players a division one baseball team currently right now can have is 40. They recently just changed that to 40 over the last couple of years. Well, now they're going to bring it back down to 35 or potentially 32 to 35. I should say they haven't decided on the number. My guess is they're going to go back down to 35. Now from a scholarship standpoint, this is really big. It's looking like they haven't decided on this, that all of the players on a Division 1 team is going to get a full scholarship. Some of you guys might know that Division 1 baseball, if the school is fully funded, most are not fully funded. They have 11.7 scholarships that they can divvy out amongst 28 to 32 guys. So most guys, especially at the mid major layer of not getting any scholarship, but the power four conferences now are going to be able to give out full scholarships to everybody on their team.
