Chapters
Metrics does not equal performance. Be careful of falling in the metrics traps where that's all you're focused on that you lose sight of your game performance which is the most important part in this recruiting process and what college coaches want to see. They want to see you how you can compete, how consistent are you in the game, are you reliable, how do you help them win? All right, that is the most important part. Now do we want to have great metrics? Absolutely. Do college coaches look at it? Absolutely. It's a signal. Okay? It's a signal for possible game performance. But we've all seen this guy throw super hard and he walks everybody. He's not going to play. All right. Or a guy with a high exit velocity but he can't hit a breaking ball and strikes out all the time. All right. Focus on your skill development, focus on your performance and you will see your recruiting process really blossom. Good luck.
