When a college coach starts talking to you and asking you questions, here's exactly what to say. Be ready, be prepared, because we're going into a period where college coaches can start talking to high school athletes. There's 17 sports where they can start talking to high school athletes, and even if you're not one of those sports, this will be good for you. And as a former D1 coach, scout, and recruiter, when we started talking to athletes, there was nothing like losing momentum when the athlete wasn't prepared or couldn't really talk or answer our questions. Let's go over the exact questions they're gonna ask you and some questions that you can consider asking as well. The first one is they're gonna ask about how your season is going. And before you go into your individual stats and metrics, which you can do, talk about the team first. They wanna see if you are a team player. Do you care about your team? Do you care about winning? All right, that is important. The second thing they're gonna ask you is grades. How are your grades? They're checking to see if you can get into the school. Make sure your grades are good. And number 3, they're gonna ask you about, have you thought about what you wanna study? Because they wanna make sure that they have that major that you want to study. If you don't know, and most kids don't know, that's okay. Just let 'em know, hey, I'm still exploring options as we go through this. 2 questions you can consider asking Coach. 1 is, what is the day in the life like in your program in the fall, in the winter, in the spring, and in the summer? And open-ended questions, so let them go. And number 2, what are you looking for in my position? Good luck.
